VIDITalk Technology Revolutionizes the Use of Video Mail
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 15, 2005--Today, VIDITalk Corporation, a leading provider of video messaging software, announced the release of a new Web-based service for creating and sharing video. Traditionally, sending video mail has been complicated by large file attachments and downloads. With its enhanced technology, VIDITalk increases the ease and speed at which this form of communication can be created and sent, revolutionizing video mail.
VIDITalk(TM) software enables consumers and businesses to easily create video messages (VIDIs) on desktop or portable computers. They are instantly delivered around the world through streaming technology via the Internet to wired and wireless devices including computers, cell phones, and PDA's - without downloads or attachments. With VIDITalk, messages can be sent using its built-in e-mail feature or sent through personal e-mail or instant messaging programs, or posted to Web sites and blogs. In addition, VIDIs can be downloaded enabling video podcasting to iPods and other multi-media players.
Company research has shown that approximately 92% of VIDI messages are opened and seen within two days of receipt. The average message is viewed at least two times. For the military, the average viewing frequency per message is six times.
In business communications much is left to chance when sending an e-mail. With easy to create VIDIs, businesses are using video to reach customers on a more personal level. Invitations to events, training sessions and other marketing messages are much more compelling using VIDITalk. Personal VIDI messages bring companies face-to-face with their clients, impacting sales, CRM, corporate communications, investor relations and a host of other critical enterprise functions.
"We've added many powerful features to VIDITalk making it easier for businesses to communicate with their employees, clients and prospects through video mail," said Paul Braun, President of VIDITalk. "Many customers recognize that strengthening their current e-mail efforts with video significantly increases the impact of their messages, so that customers and associates will be more compelled to pay attention and act."
New features include:
Higher quality video with larger screens
Combines other video clips with each message
Built-in e-mail and address book
Download video option for Podcasting
Customizable video playback screens
Viewership tracking information
Viewable on both High Speed and Dial-up connections
Alan Morasch, Executive Director of the 21st Century Cardiothoracic Surgical Society, is using VIDITalk to facilitate physician to physician communications. "We recognize the value that video communication brings to building relationships among referring physicians," Morasch said. "VIDITalk enables physicians to share clinical data and imagery easily and effectively."
Alan Croll, CEO of Virginia based e-know, a provider of e-mail communications tools for senior management teams and a VIDITalk client concurred by saying, "We have never had such a large and immediate response to our e-mails... by using VIDITalk to invite people to attend one of our workshops, we received more responses in 24 hours then we typically would receive in two weeks."
With more than seven trillion e-mail messages sent last year alone, according to IDC, video e-mail is projected to gain considerable market share in the next 12-36 months. Jon Peddie Research reports that video transported over wireless networks is predicted to reach 47% of the total phone market by 2008.
